“Portfolio of the World War: Retogravure Etchings Selected from The Mid-Week Pictorial of the New York Times, copyright 1917 by The New York Times Company.” Hardcover bound newspaper enhanced photographs with explanations. About 4000 photojournalist photographs.

Amazing pictorial history of World War 1. Until World War 2 (21 years after World War 1), World War 1 was called “The World War” or “The Great War.”

Dimensions: 26” tall, 18” wide, 1 1/2” thick.

Condition: Everything is dry and has no mildew or rot smell. Pages are friable (can rip or tear easily) since this enhanced newsprint is still thin and fragile. Binding is pretty secure, but one false move of being rough will separate binding from spine.

Could be gently page turned by an adult to show children actual World War 1 photographs. There are no bloody or gore pictures (societal standards didn’t allow for such publication).

I’ll pack this very carefully and ship by media mail and pay for that — free shipping. Rare.
