The light that is cast is nothing like natural daylight. It's like a Neon light in your bedroom. Totally not cool. The lamp shaft is not even straight up and down. It leans forward at least 6" from plumb. The three-piece shaft is connected together by a twist lock that never stays connected. I've had an ott desktop lamp for years that is so well made, I bought this on reputation
