Excellent condition set of 9 beautiful antique set of Copeland Spode dinner plates featuring various scenes from J. F. Herring, Sen. drawings of an English Hunt. Included in this red edged set are these designs: 1-“Full cry…..2-“ The find….3 Throwing off…4-“Off to Draw…5- “Gone away”… 6- “ The huntsmen”…9- “ Going to halloa”…10- “ Drawing the dingle… 11- “The Kill”
The plates have hand-painted accents on a transferware pattern. The back of the plates have the Copeland Spode England backstamp that was used circa 1920, an image of a riders cap and crop with the words "From the Original Drawings by J. F. Herring Sen
This is a rare elegant set that would be a treasure for anyone to own.The dinner plates measure 10 5/8" across and 1" tall.
