The Black Box EMD100USB is a KVM over IP USB extender that brings full-speed USB 2.0 connectivity to any Emerald system. It carries peripheral signals up to 328 feet (100 meters) across a single CATx cable or through a standard Ethernet network, so you can relocate keyboards, mice, touchscreens, or storage drives without compromising performance.

Each receiver provides four USB ports that deliver up to 600 mA of power, enough for most common devices. The extender supports data rates up to 480 Mbps and remains backward-compatible with USB 1.1 equipment, which makes it straightforward to mix new and legacy hardware in the same installation.
