Knowles, Taylor & Knowles (KT&K) produced fine china, best known as Lotus Ware,from1891/1892 to 1896, when the company halted production of the high-cost, fragile bone china to focus on other wares, though the company itself operated from 1854 to 1931, when it merged and subsequently closed due to the Great Depression.

This is a double handled covered serving dish with an equally elegant handled lid with matching gold gilded design, vines organic pattern on lid.
