I attended the 1992 Summer Olympic in Barcelona. This event ticket is from the Final Gymnastics competition. Seated next to me (see photo) were two world famous gymnasts, Nadia Comenici and Bart Conner. They are both Olympian Gold Medalists and they kindly autographed my ticket and posed for a photo with me (see photo)!
NADIA COMENICI was the star of the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where she became the very first woman to score a perfect 10 on her way to winning 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. She appeared on the covers of Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated, all in the same week. Nadia continued her dominance through the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, where she won 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals.
Nadia's husband, BART CONNER, is one of the most accomplished American male gymnasts in history. He is the first American gymnast to win gold medals at every level of national and international competitions.
